Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Body Prep Operator to support our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of raw materials throughout the production process while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards. D Shift Schedule:
- Wednesday: 12:00 AM (Midnight) - 6:00 AM
- Thursday - Saturday: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
What You'll Do:
- Unload raw materials from railcars and transport them to storage bins.
- Load raw materials into production hoppers.
- Monitor material flow through ball mills and spray dryers.
- Perform quality control testing to ensure materials meet specifications and accurately document results.
- Monitor equipment and production processes, reporting any issues to leadership.
- Follow established operating procedures and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with other duties as needed to support production goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to understand and communicate basic English.
- Strong listening and communication skills.
- Comfortable working at heights and using required fall protection equipment.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Regularly stand, walk, reach, and use hands throughout the shift.
- Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Occasionally sit, climb, and balance.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Work around moving machinery, airborne particles, and varying temperatures.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where noise levels may be high.
