Job Description:
The Production Training Coordinator will organize and maintain training records for operations team members in a manufacturing plant. The role focuses on tracking completed training, managing signed training documents, coordinating follow-up with supervisors and team members, and keeping training files accurate and up to date. This position is centered on organization, communication, and maintaining a clear system for training documentation rather than hands-on training.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain training documents, signed-off files, and training records for operations team members.
- Manage individual training folders in a shared drive and ensure each team member’s documentation is current.
- Maintain a master training log in Excel showing what each person has completed, including dates and times.
- Track where team members have been trained and what training remains outstanding.
- Send training documents and reminders to supervisors and team members with deadlines for return or completion.
- Communicate with supervisors and management about training status and follow-up items.
- Build and maintain schedules related to training progress.
- Use Outlook email to communicate as needed.
- Support the expansion of the training tracking process across operations, covering approximately 150 to 200 people over time.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Comfortable using a computer and working in Excel.
- Ability to organize a large volume of files and data.
- Ability to maintain schedules and follow up on deadlines.
- Administrative experience or a similar organizational background is acceptable.
- Manufacturing or plant experience is not required for the role as described.
- Experience with hands-on training is not required at the start.
- Experience in a production, training, or administrative environment may be relevant.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday.
- Some flexibility is needed to come in early on certain days to meet with night shift team members in the morning.
- Possible start times mentioned were 6:00–2:30, 6:30–3:00, 7:00–4:00, or 8:00–5:00.
